This was a mix done in the spirit of Strictly Hip Hop. This is not the mix that you are going to hear music that you will hear on commercial radio. That is not the point of Strictly Hip Hop and therefore not the point of my mix. I dug deep to find special songs that don't necessarily see air time but are just as good as what is normally played. I had a good time making this mix. I included the before and after commentary from the show so people can know what I sound like on air. This is a mix inspired by DJ John Doe from CounterIntelligence.nl and his show on JungleTrain.net that I used to listen to. It has that airy ambient feel to it. Just so you all know I used all records on this mix. I submitted it to his show but I am unsure if he played it or not. If he did not play it, that is OK. I'm not mad at him at all. I'm happy he inspired me to make this mix. Big shouts to Stephanie Stone and all those who remember Capital City Records. I have a bunch of Drum and Bass mixes but this one makes the podcast. I still spin Drum and Bass at The Black Hole in Dundalk and on WEAA from time to time.

This is part of a long series of House CDs that I have done. House 1-4 were done on cassette and did not make it to CD. House 5-21 made it to CD and have been played on WEAA 88.9 FM on The Audio Infusion. House 17 was produced at Pat's crib with the vocals done at WEAA-MSU by Roshé. This is the first mix in a series of Lounge/Downtempo mixes that I have done. There are only 4 mixes. This series started when I was DJing at Eden Lounge on every other Friday along with DJ B-Side and DJ Dre. We were supposed to bring a mood to Eden Lounge with our music so not hard at all but not elevator music either. Someone liked the music that I was playing and asked if I had any CDs with me. I said not and told her I'd make one and here it is. Big shouts out to DJ B-Side for making event, although short lived, happen.
